  1. What exactly is UMASS Boston OCL?

    UMASS Boston OCL is a web-based housing listing/search application where students can search in a single central place for on-campus and off-campus housing. Students can browse or search by location, price range, number of bedrooms and/or bathrooms, ownership/control (university or private) and whether or not the apartment they want is furnished. When they find one that looks interesting, they contact the landlord directly using the preferred method shown in the property detail.

  2. Do I have to sign up? How do I sign up?

    You can search through our listings without registering. However, contact information will not be displayed unless you create an account and login. Click on on the "Create Profile" button. You should be able to fill in your details to create a profile.

  3. How do I contact UMASS Boston OCL for customer support?

    Email us at customerservice@lifetopia.com or call us on (between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm Eastern time, Monday through Friday). Please include in the email or be ready to tell us your full name, school, class year and the email address that you used to register on the site. Alternately, you can submit an email inquiry by clicking on the "Contact Us" button above.

  4. I am having problems logging in. Can you help?
    First, try logging out, closing your web browser, then sign in again. If this doesn't help, the issues you are experiencing may be due to "cookies." Please empty "cookies" periodically to ensure optimum functionality of UMASS Boston OCL on your computer. To empty "cookies," go into "Tools" on your browser's menu bar and select "Internet Options." Please click "Delete Cookies" from the window that opens. After logging out and restarting your web browser, things should be working properly.

  5. Can I change my username?

    You cannot change your username directly in your account settings page, but we will happily do it for you. Email customerservice@lifetopia.com with your current username, your password and your new username and we will see to it. Remember that if someone else already has the name, you can't have it - so try to send us something unique or we may have to add some numbers to it.

  6. Who will be able to view these listings?

    UMASS Boston OCL affiliates may view apartment listings from any computer with access to the World Wide Web.

  7. How do I retrieve a forgotten password?

    Click on the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. Once you submit the email address that you used to register, your username and password will be emailed out to you.

  8. How do I change my password?

    You can change your password by accessing your account settings page. After logging in, click on the "My Account" link to access your account settings.
